etoy interacting with central European media artists
In early October, etoy.ZAI and etoy.HAEFLIGER traveled to Plovdiv, Bulgaria where Dimitrina Sevova curated an exhibition entitled «Critique of Pure Image - Between Fake and Quotation» The exhibition was in the old bath in Plovdiv that dates back to Roman times. Creative interaction among the artists present prompted etoy to conspire with mixed media renegades from central Europe to break into a hotel bar. The resulting surveillance video art never made it beyond a simple performance at the hotel reception the next morning.
